Alex Bernson

Early in life, Alex Bernson was torn between two passions: the emerging open source software and specialty coffee movements. He chose the latter, spending 15 years in the specialty coffee industry, including as managing editor of Sprudge.com during the heydays of blogging, and later handling brand marketing and communications for the World Barista Championship and other global events from the Specialty Coffee Association. He eventually found his way back to tech, focusing on technical writing, content operations, process automation, AI-enablement, and project management. Currently, he oversees Steyer’s Amazon Web Services and Trace One teams, managing content production, strategy, and editing services. Outside of work, he tends to an ever-growing community of houseplants, and enjoys foraging for food and beverage ingredients across the Northwest.
