Join us for a book club for the ages! We will be gathering virtually to talk about Kaliane Bradley’s new novel, The Ministry of Time, on Wednesday, September 18th at 1pm.
For those of us who have dug into it, it’s funny, winding, and clever, the plot so twisty turvy it’s hard to adeptly summarize. The author has a way with words, drily describing the flavor of Guinness as “angry marmite” (is she wrong?). It’s refreshingly different and you may need a dictionary to navigate the garrulous language (see... it’s rubbing off on me) of a motley crew of displaced time traveler “expats” scavenged up from different centuries in years past as a social experiment.
We’re looking forward to gathering with those of you who have time to pick it up! And if you don’t get a chance to finish it, all are welcome, so long as you don’t mind spoilers!
